We could have sworn we were just writing about the last weekend in July and here we are, coming up on the last days of August. Evidence that time does indeed fly when you're having fun! Speaking of fun, this weekend has loads of it in store. From live outdoor music played among sprawling grape vines to brand new galleries and exhibits, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the arts. Prefer something more action packed? The boats take to the water during the Ida Lewis Yacht Club Distance Race. And of course, we welcome our weekend regulars, Newport Polo, Family Fun Fridays and Yoga in the Garden at Blithewold.

Cheers to the weekend!

Whole Lotta Cheatin' Goin On Presented by The Newport Playhouse & Cabaret Restaurant | 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Before Daddy's Dyin' Who's Got the Will? there was this award winning comedy set in the west Texas watering hole of Lowake. Gossip, the town's major pastime, ignites a blaze of infidelity that engulfs three couples with the zany precision of a Feydeau farce. The clan includes Bo Bob, the dimwitted mailman, and Clarence, local stud and mechanic who's been messin' with Ovella since high school. His faithful girl is Sara Lee Turnover, the beautician. Teddy Joe, Ovella's wronged husband who is more brawn than brain, Maybelline, the overweight waitress who wants to be in love, and a narrator/story teller/singer who doubles as a psychic and believes in happy endings complete the cast.
