You're going to need extra space in your calendar for everything happening this week in our City by the Sea. From the return of some of our favorite annual events, like the Great Chowder Cook-Off featuring endless samples of both traditional and reinvented clam chowder creations at Fort Adams and the British Motorcar Festival boasting classic British motorcars from across New England, to some family-friendly events, like the SVF Foundation's visitor day where you and your young ones will get to meet some of SVF's rare and endangered animals or opening day for the Newport Gulls, Newport's collegiate wooden bat baseball team.
