A large number of yoga poses involve saluting the sun. From mountain pose to upward facing dog, even the most basic of poses help yogis create the perfect flow of movement to improve breathing, flexibility and concentration all while pointing towards the warmth of the sun. And despite this, yoga is often carried out indoors.

Fortunately, this summer brings a wealth of unique spots to get your sirsasana on outdoors. From sandy beaches and rooftop sessions to sprawling vineyards and blooming gardens, these locales have everything you need to unwind, whether you're ready to master the firefly pose, or you're still trying to conquer the warrior pose (guilty as charged).
