Call us biased but we think summer in Newport is synonymous with paradise. Where do we even begin? Free outdoor concerts, harbor-side rooftop bars and patios, outdoor films in some of our most breathtaking parks and venues, and not to mention an entire bucket list of family fun. And of course, with warmer weather comes sailing and lighthouse tours, sandy beaches, our beloved 3.5 mile cliff walk with panoramic ocean views, scoot couping and so much more. Our only worry in the world is if we're going to have enough time to see and do it all.

Below is a guide to our favorite summer fairs and festivals - some tried and true and some brand new.

The format calls for pursuit-style (staggered start) racing on Rhode Island Sound, with one race planned for each of the three days, leaving plenty of time in the afternoons and evening for socializing. Racing begins at noon off Castle Hill and will provide a stunning visual for those watching from vantage points along the shore of Narragansett Bay’s East Passage, south of the Pell Bridge.
