Bristol, Rhode Island has been named by as one of the 18 Most Interesting US Destinations. According to the popular online travel company, cities and towns were chosen for their “unique charm, eccentric attractions, and the intriguing qualities that distinguish it as a must-visit destination.”

Bristol, home to the country’s oldest Fourth of July parade, certainly fits Expedia’s criterion with its charming downtown district featuring unique shops, restaurants and galleries.

“Bristolians already know that our cozy little town is both interesting and extraordinary, but it’s always exciting when we’re recognized for our exceptional qualities by a national outlet like Expedia,” said Kathleen Seguin, the owner and innkeeper of Bristol House Bed and Breakfast and member of Discover Newport’s Board of Directors.

“With interesting attractions like Blithewold, Mount Hope Farm, Coggeshall Farm, Linden Place and Colt State Park, plus terrific restaurants, shops, events, and more, this recognition is well warranted,” agreed Evan Smith, president and CEO of Discover Newport.

When visiting Bristol, fill your day with lots of fun, charming activities for the whole family.
