Have you marked your calendar? Made reservations? Physically trained? Because autumn's favorite culinary celebration is just FIVE weeks away!
Newport Restaurant Week (NRW) returns November 1 10, 2013 with more than 50 participating restaurants throughout Newport and Bristol Counties, all of which will be offering three-course lunches for $16 and/or three-course dinners for just $30. A highly anticipated bi-annual tradition, NRW has proven to be a mouthwatering experience for locals, food fanatics, and visitors alike to indulge in the sweet and savory experience of Newport dining. This fall's 10-day affair will showcase the delectable ingredients and carefully crafted presentations that embody the essence of this coastal community's flavor. For the first time ever, new restaurants Midtown Oyster Bar, Stoneacre Pantry, and Jos American Bistro, all of which are located in Newport, in addition to Bluewater Bar and Grill, located in Barrington, will be participating.
Other than providing a chance to exemplify the exceptional local talents, NRW serves as a way to demonstrate the lively dining scene that makes our coastal community a premiere culinary destination. Updates on events, participating restaurants and menus can be found on www.DiscoverNewportRestaurantWeek.org and will be posting updates on our social networks, including NRWs Facebook page and on Discover Newports Twitter feed (use hashtag #nptrw).
Also, diners from Providence and around the state can save money on parking and gas by riding Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus routes for $4 per round trip ticket or $6 for an all-day pass. Bon appetite!
