The 9th Annual Rhode Island Fiber Festival and Craft Fair returns to Coggeshall Farm on Saturday, May 21 from 10:00AM - 5:00PM.
Meander the 48 acres of pristine farmland as artisans from across the Northeast gather to exhibit their unique selection of handmade crafts and goods. Observe craft demonstrations, purchase natural fibers and watch a master sheep shearer at work on Coggeshall’s own Gulf Coast Natives. Old-fashioned games, kids’ crafts, dance performances, acoustic music and great local food set the stage for a day of family fun and outdoor exploration. Savor wood-fired pizza from The Gilded Tomato's mobile oven, sample chocolate-covered strawberries from Edible Arrangements and specialty items from the Hope & Main.
Plus, experience traditional Morris dancing and help awaken the earth at springtime with the amazing Ladies of the Rolling Pin, who will perform at noon. Afterward, sing along with Atwater-Donnelly, a traditional American folk duo at 1:00 PM.
The theme of this year's cook-off is Yeasted Breads. A registration fee of $5 cash must be paid upon arrival at the Festival (in addition to ticket price). All registration fees will go toward cash prizes awarded to the winners.
Prizes will be offered in three categories:
- Ages 12 and Under
- Ages 13 to 17
- Ages 18 and up
