Bivalves for a good cause return to Bristol's Thames Street Landing on Sunday, June 18 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM for the fourth annual Bristol Oyster Festival. The festival, hosted by Dewolf Tavern, celebrates Rhode Island's rich history of fishing, harvesting and cultivating oysters with 6+ varieties of local oysters, music, food trucks, silent auction, a shucking demonstration and family fun activities including face painting and more. Hear from guest speakers from Roger Williams University and local oystermen on the growth and importance of oysters in Rhode Island and all throughout New England.
A portion of the festival's proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes, a nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies by providing educational resources on baby health, pregnancy, preconception and new motherhood.
