Due to the threat of inclement weather from Hurricane Arthur, the City of Newport has decided to set off its traditional fireworks display on Saturday, July 5 over Newport Harbor. The fireworks show begins after it is dark enough for the show to be seen which is anticipated to be 9:15 p.m. and lasts approximately 25 minutes. Also, please note Sundown Thursday at Fort Adams has been rescheduled due to the impending storm. Fireworks at the Fort have been postponed to July 5th at 9 PM.

The Rose Island Lighthouse Annual 4th of July Barbeque has been rescheduled for July 5th.

Regarding Bristols Fourth of July Parade, as of 7/3/14 at 3:45pm, the parade is still scheduled to step off at July 4th at 10:30am. There is no resource for any announcements/changes.

Escobar Farm's annual Fourth of July fireworks show in Portsmouth has been moved to Saturday night. Jamestown's fireworks display has been rescheduled for Sunday night.
