The 17-foot-tall gingerbread lighthouse, and 7-foot-tall keeper's house, trumpets the arrival of the holiday season yearly in Newport, and stands tall in the lower lobby at the Newport Marriott until December 31, 2022.
Comprised of 530 pounds of gingerbread, 240 pounds of royal icing, and 14,000+ pieces of candy, and taking over 200 hours to complete, the lighthouse is one of New England's largest working gingerbread lighthouses.
VISIT: Newport Marriot
The public is invited to view the lighthouse at the Newport Marriott daily through December 31, 2022. Visitors are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to fill the Marriott’s sleigh for the Martin Luther King Center.
