Summertime in Newport is synonymous with outdoor festivities. From al fresco eats and drinks to live music and free concert series, you'll find us in the sun as much as possible. These live music series are everything you need to keep your fun-in-the-sun time upbeat.

 

 

EASTON'S BEACH FAMILY NIGHT CONCERT SERIES

Live music with an ocean view is the agenda for Easton's Beach Family Night Concert Series every Tuesday through August. All shows begin at 6:00 PM and last for approximately an hour and a half. In the event of rain, shows will be rescheduled.

 AUGUST 1 Swingland -- The Larry Brown Band

The Larry Brown Band is a seventeen piece Swingland
Orchestra playing jazz, swing and big band music that
is wonderful to dance to and easy on the ears.

      AUGUST 8         Downcity Band

Downcity Band is an 8-piece band that plays oldies to today.

 AUGUST 15   Dick Lupino Band

The Dick Lupino Band plays a variety of genres including
jazz, oldies and Motown. Sponsored by Bernard and Doris
Nemtzow in honor of their 67th wedding anniversary.

MUSIC ON THE PORCH

Hosted by The Fort Adams Trust, the Music On the Porch free concert series will be held at the Eisenhower House in Fort Adams State Park this summer. All concerts start at 5:00 PM and go through 7:00 PM, featuring live musical performances from a variety of artists and performers, plus refreshments from Newport Storm and Blackstone Caterers' A Fork in the Road food truck. Bring a blanket and enjoy performances for all ages accompanied by Narragansett Bay in the backdrop.

POPS CONCERT IN PORTSMOUTH

This old-fashioned outdoor pops concert is coming to the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth on July 13, 2017 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. The grounds will open after 5:00 PM - pack a picnic, bring blankets and chairs and kick back and relax.

SINGING OUT AGAINST HUNGER EVELYN'S DRIVE IN SERIES

Evelyn's Drive-In in Tiverton once again hosts Singing Out Against Hunger concert series through September. SOAH was created in 2003 to provide nutritious food for those in need and to raise awareness of their ongoing plight. Savor award winning food, raffles and local musicians on their Nanaquaket Pond patio.

MUSIC MONTH AT BALLARD PARK

Jenkins Construction Company of Middletown presents Music Month at Ballard Park. The series includes four free concerts by a diverse group of bands including The Navy Band Northeast, The Ubiquitones, the Toe Jam Puppet Band and Chelley, Bill & Dyl.

All of the Jenkins Construction Music Month concerts will be held in Ballard Park’s quarry meadow off of Hazard Road. Seating for all concerts is on the grass so event goers are advised to bring a blanket or lawn chair on which to sit. There is rugged terrain so sturdy shoes are also recommend. Picnic dinners are welcome and parking is available on Hazard Road.  Allow fifteen minutes to park and make your way into the quarry meadow.

Details: The popular seventeen piece Swingland Orchestra is a group of professional musicians playing jazz, swing and big band music that is wonderful to dance to and easy on the ears. Bandleader Don Chilton.

Band: Toe Jam Puppet Band

Details:
Bubbles, hula hoops, squirt guns and costumes will get kids movin’ and groovin’. Offering a special brand of hands-on children’s entertainment, the Toe Jam Puppet Band encourages kids and parents to sing and dance along with the band as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs and storytelling.

Band: The Ravers

Details: 
They’ve been rocking Rhode Island for 29 years! Newport’s favorite reggae band: The Ravers! Carey Bowman will be rocking the vocals with Adam Alechio on guitar, Ray Gennari on bass, Doug Ernest on drums, Mike Dansereau on keys, Dan Moretti on sax and Doug Woolverton on trumpet. 

 

 

SWEET BERRY FARM SUMMER DINNER & CONCERT SERIES

The 100-acre post and beam farm market in Middletown is hosting their annual summer dinner and concert series featuring a dinner menu to complement the provided live music every Tuesday through August.

 

Admission to all concerts is free. Specialty dinners prepared by Chef Scott Amaral are available along with many other food items from the café. Picnic tables are reserved for meal ticket holders only and on a first come basis. Meal tickets can be reserved by calling ahead. 401.847.3912. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets. Concert goers must park in designated parking lot only. Please do not park in front of farm market.
