The Providence to Newport Ferry returns to Narragansett Bay on Friday, July 1
Ticket Cost: $10 per person/one way; $5 children, seniors & disabled



The long-missed Providence to Newport Ferry returns to Narragansett Bay offering passengers the opportunity to travel between the state's capital and our City by the Sea with both ease and ultimate comfort, sans traffic and parking woes. 


Amenities abound including plush seating with spacious legroom, a climate controlled cabin and an open-air top deck, 360-degree panoramic windows, private bathroom, free high speed wifi, and a full-service cash bar with cocktails, beer, wine, sodas, tea, coffee, and snacks.


The ferry will make it's grand return to the bay on Friday, July 1 from Providence at 10:00 AM. Each trip will arrive to/depart from India Point in Providence and Perotti Park in Newport. With a capacity of 149 passengers, the ferry will shuttle passengers on three round trips daily on Monday through Thursday and four trips on Friday through Sunday, including holidays. 


A complimentary shuttle bus will also be provided in Providence for those requesting transportation to India Point. The shuttle will service passengers from the Providence Train Station, the convention center, Kennedy Plaza, South Water Street and the PVD to NPT ferry terminal at India Point.
