SVF Foundation preserves germplasm, semen and embryos from rare and endangered breeds of food and fiber livestock - their library of frozen material is vital to the protection of the worlds food supply.Spend the day learning about heritage breed livestock with SVF for their Annual Visitors Day celebration.
Experience: Self-guided tours through the historic Swiss Village, meet SVF laboratory, veterinary and animal care staff, attend live cryogenics and sheep shearing demonstrations, visit Chip, a rare Tennessee myotonic goat born from a frozen embryo, and shop SVFs selection of farm products and heritage breed meat.
Enjoy: Julians Omnibus, a returning food truck serving local heritage breed burgers and other delicious treats.
