As much as we begged and pleaded, July just would not slow its roll. It flew by with festivals galore, outdoor adventures and kindly left sweet, sweet memories to carry with us. Now, all we can do is help July go out in style. Luckily, we've got just the line up.

Things are about to get jazzy with the return of Newport Jazz Festival featuring big names in music like Norah Jones, Chick Corea Trilogy and Gregory Porter. If that's not enough to fill your live music fix, Newport Vineyards Concert Series and Long Wharf Concert Series (both at no cost!) continue throughout the weekend as well. Prefer to soak up the last of July by the water? We don't blame you. The Candy Store Cup Superyacht Edition kicks off Friday through the weekend with some of the world's most glamorous sailing yachts taking to the water. Engage your inner Greek God/Goddess at the annual Hellenic Fest at Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church featuring authentic Greek cuisine & pastries, live music & dancing, Ouzo, Greek beer and more. Opa!

Our line up this week also includes Farmers markets & stands to shop fresh, local produce. Because it is summer and that is what summer is all about.

That's enough from us. Below are our top picks for the weekend. See you next year, July.

Teddy Joe, Ovella's wronged husband who is more brawn than brain, Maybelline, the overweight waitress who wants to be in love, and a narrator/story teller/singer who doubles as a psychic and believes in happy endings complete the cast.
