The Preservation Society of Newport County has announced the first "Newport County Days" of 2016, during which residents of all Newport County towns enjoy free admission to the Newport Mansions, will be held Sunday & Monday, January 10 & 11. Residents of Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth and Tiverton will all be eligible for free admission to The Breakers, The Elms and Marble House on those two days in January, by showing proof of residency at the ticket station at any of the three houses. Proof of residency can be a driver's license, motor vehicle registration, passport, other photo id, utility bill, or any similar document that shows name and address. Identification is not required for children, but children must be escorted by an adult. Hours: The Breakers & The Elms open at 9 a.m., last tour admission at 4 p.m. Marble House opens at 10 a.m., last tour admission at 4 p.m. Houses & grounds close at 5 p.m. For more details and information visit
