Word has begun to spread; the Broadway Street Fair is back! Building on last year's success, organizers have decided to do an encore. More than 4,000 people took a stroll along Broadway, Newport’s historic Main Street and major artery into the city
and celebrated the diversity that Newport is known for.

The Broadway Street Fair will begin at Equality Park and extend all along the street, about three quarters of a mile down into Washington Square where the Colony House, one of the nation’s oldest statehouses (circa1741), looks out over the bay. The day will be filled with music, food, family activities, and exhibiting artists. This is a rain or shine event!

Five outdoor stages will feature local musicians, comedy, and dance. More than a dozen restaurants will show off their culinary talents, and local artisans will showcase their creativity, too.

“Broadway is Where the Locals Go,” so come down for a visit and see how hard everyone has worked to make Broadway the new shining star of Rhode Island.
