The Professional Choristers of The Choir School of Newport County, along with the Adult Choir of The Zabriskie Memorial Church of Saint John the Evangelist and guest soloists, will perform Christmas on the Point on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. at The Zabriskie Memorial Church of Saint John the Evangelist, 61 Washington St., at the corner of Washington and Willow streets. This is a Christmas in Newport event.

Christmas on the Point is a merry concert of organ music, choir and instrumental selections and congregational caroling along with a traditional reading of The Christmas Story. With special lighting and decoration, this historic church on the Point comes alive with choirs, strings, vintage 1894 organ and guest soloists. This year features Haydn’s Little Organ Mass with choir, strings and organ, and the local carol “Christmas on the Point.”

Christmas on the Point is directed by The Choir School of Newport County Executive Director Peter Stoltzfus Berton; The Christmas Story will be read by Fr. N.J.A. Humphrey, rector of St. John’s. Suggested donation is $15, $10 seniors/students; children ages 5-12 free.

Free parking is available in our church lot opposite 25 Willow St.
