I am inspired by nature, particularly repetitive patterns known as fractals. I was formerly trained as a jeweler, but most of my most interesting work has come with a collaboration with my husband, a commercial coppersmith. I currently reside in Tiverton, RI, where I find great inspiration in the geometry of nature. All pieces start with a flat sheet of metal and are formed with a sheet metal brake. Colors are drawn from the copper itself, capturing nature through the use of salts and acids to create patinas.
