Warren is steeped in Native American and colonial history with one of the oldest working waterfronts in the country. On the east bank of the Warren River, this charismatic tiny town boasts exceptional dining and affordable boutique shopping, much along Main Street, plus biking and hiking along the East Bay Bike Path. Historic Water Street offers a peek into the town’s seafaring past as buildings boast unique architecture, antique shops have front windows peppered with age-old collectibles, and unique eateries, including a classic clam shack, offer the freshest catch. Most recently, Warren had been recognized as Rhode Island’s culinary hotspot with more than a dozen restaurants and cafés in just eight square miles.
