Discover Newport will present a high-caliber master class for businesses seeking to better leverage their digital marketing channels. This Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Newport on Goat Island, Jim Brody will address the behavior of social media users, turning the right visitors into online advocates for your business/destination. He’ll teach attendees how to best leverage communication platforms by managing user-generated and social content and how to effectively measure social media strategies long term.
Brody is president and self-described “CDN” (Chief DMO Nerd) for Sense of Place, a Rhode Island-based company dedicated to helping destination marketing organizations navigate their marketing initiatives in the ever-evolving digital/social landscape. With more than 25 years of experience in media, Brody established and developed DMO programs for TripAdvisor, Oyster.com and Travelzoo. His vast global experiences and keen understanding of how DMOs work to grow the travel industry make him uniquely qualified as a consultant, advisor, conference speaker and panelist.
The seminar is $40 per person with pre-registration ($50 day of, if space allows) and includes the four-hour master class plus morning refreshments. For more information or to register, contact Brittany Lauro at 401.845.9112 or blauro@discovernewport.org.
