New Non-Stop Bus Service Between Boston and Newport Begins June 7
Discover Newport announces new bus service in partnership with DATTCO

Newport, RI (June 4, 2024) - Discover Newport announces a new non-stop bus service between Boston and Newport, in partnership with DATTCO. The bus line will run between Boston South Station Terminal and the Newport Transportation Center, Friday - Monday twice a day, June 7 through September 9, 2024. The bus will hold 52 passengers and have a fare of $30 one way.

“We are thrilled to launch this service between two great cities. Making Newport easily accessible to the Boston market was an initiative that we’ve been eager to launch and are thrilled to partner with DATTCO to make it come to life this summer,” said Evan Smith, President & CEO of Discover Newport. "This will allow Bostonians access to Newport for a weekend coastal getaway with ease and affordability."

“This service is something DATTCO has been considering since entering the Rhode Island market in 2022 and we’re excited to have the support of Discover Newport as we begin operations this week.  Their knowledge of the tourism market and ability to get the word out directly to people interested in visiting Newport will play a key role in the success of the service,” said Dennis Lyons, Vice President of DATTCO.
