Working out can get expensive, and most people don’t want to spend their hard earned money on workout classes, but now there are no excuses. This summer, both the Newport Public Library and Island Yoga are offering a series of free fitness classes to anyone 18-118 years old and of any ability. No registration is required.

Newport Public Library fitness classes will be held in Aquidneck Park next to the library. Participants should gather by the parking lot entrance before class. In the event of bad weather, classes will be held in the Library's Program Room with participants admitted on a first-come first serve basis.

Island Yoga community classes will be held on Third Beach multiple times per week. Schedule below.

What to wear: Clothing that is comfortable for exercise and sneakers.
What to bring: Bottle of water; sun protection (sunscreen, hat and/or sunglasses).
