Explore the underground tunnel, boiler room and basement of The Breakers during the new Beneath the Breakers Tour debuting Saturday, January 28.
Descend the staircase from the caretaker's cottage into the vast underground boiler room where you'll see and learn about the massive boilers that helped to power this great house. You'll walk through the hidden underground tunnel and enter the basement, where you'll get an intimate look at the cutting edge construction techniques, electrical and plumbing systems of more than a century ago, and their modern counterparts.

Guided tours will be offered every 30 minutes, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Tour space is limited and advance reservations are required.
Admission: Preservation Society members $20, general public $25, children 6-17, $10.
