Newport Storm Brewery's Spring Irish Red Ale has been named the official beer of the 2017 Newport Saint Patrick's Day Parade, marking the sixth year that Newport Storm has been dubbed the official beer of the parade. Perfect for winter or spring, this brew is bursting with roasted hazelnut flavors and a mild hop finish thanks to hops imported from the UK -- making it an ultimate Irish brew.

Parade day is set for Saturday, March 11 but for those ready for early celebrations can head to Storm Pint Night fundraisers that will kick off just about a week prior to parade day. Fundraisers in the past have helped raise more than $10,000, as $2 of every purchase goes straight to the parade. You'll receive a commemorative parade day glass to keep with a purchase of a glass of Spring Irish Ale. Pints will also be on sale “as is” for $5, which also goes to the parade.

The first Pint Night kicks off just about a week prior to the parade on Friday, March 3 at the Irish American Club with an evening of fresh Irish Red on tap and the chance to meet members of the Parade committee. Parlor Bar and Kitchen, The Fifth Element, and O’Brien’s Pub are just some of the other partnering Pint Night spots you can venture to throughout the week to quench your thirst and show your support for the parade.
