A trip to The Barn is not complete without a visit to the neighboring Gnome Surf Shop. This converted farmhouse turned surf center is lined with amazing surfing gear, accessories, awesome apparel (many of which are designed and printed right on site), a yoga studio upstairs, and happy vibes galore.
The real magic is what they do out on the water. As a 501c3 Non Profit Surf Therapy Organization, Gnome is focused on creating a culture shift towards happiness, kindness, love, and acceptance for all kids, offering camps and individual lessons, yoga and eco-therapy experiences.

South Shore Beach

Now that Gnome Surf Shop has inspired you to catch some waves, or get out on the water, head over to South Shore Beach, just over 10 minutes down the road. When you arrive, take a walk along the shoreline where the ocean meets the Bay, collect shells, experience the surf or just take in the ocean views.
Looking for more? Walk further down the beach to Goosewing Beach Preserve, a small mile-lone beach and nature preserve maintained by The Nature Conservancy.

This 300-acre farm not only grows for the Little Compton community, but beyond including wholesale and donating thousands pounds of produce to the Rhode Island Food Bank. Gather your groceries from their expansive farm stand, wander through their rows of orchards during the pick-your-own season, which includes apples, flowers, tomatoes, blueberries and strawberries.

Despite their namesake, Small World Farm packs a lot into their parcel of land. A USDA Certified Organic apple orchard with nearly 700 trees, rows of produce and flowers and some adorable roaming chickens.
