Whether you are walking or driving, taking a scooter or pedicab, a trolley or private car, there are many ways to see Newport. This summer, getting around has just gotten easier. With the support of RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority), Discover Newport and the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island, free trolley and bus transportation will be available around Newport to tourist destinations and beaches.

Both the Bellevue trolley, Route #67 and Route #68, connecting neighborhoods in the north end of Newport to local beaches, will be free until October 31, 2023. Popular attractions along the routes are; Redwood Library, International Tennis Hall of Fame, Newport Mansions, Cliff Walk, Belcourt, Rough Point, First Beach and many more.

Parking: Park at the Newport Transportation Center. Parking will cost $5 with RIPTA voucher (or receipt) from driver, green and yellow trolleys ONLY.

Passengers can hop on and off at RIPTA bus stops along the route. Schedules will be available online and at the Newport Visitor Information Center located at 21 Long Wharf Mall.
