The hot summer days are officially dwindling on The Classic Coast. Needless to say, we find ourselves daydreaming of everything Autumn in the wake of their absence. These fall months harvest the perfect opportunity for some of our favorite cozy-weather activities: pumpkin & apple picking, hayrides & corn mazes, and more.
When you find your hands itching for some pick-your-own experiences, here's where you can head to.
Peaches: August – mid September
Fall Raspberries: Late August - September
Apples: Late August - early October
Pumpkins: Late September - October
This 100-acre farm in Middletown is home to multiple pick-your-own fields that rotate seasonally. Choose from seven varieties including peaches, raspberries, pumpkins and more throughout the year. Keep in mind that the start and duration of the picking seasons (above) are dependent on the year's weather conditions.
Once you've picked to your heart's content, head inside to the indoor market for a curated selection of artisan cheeses, sandwiches, soups, pizzas, ice cream and more.
Pro tip: Sometimes the farm must temporarily close picking so more fruit can ripen. Closures are announced online, or you can call 401-847-3912 to confirm if picking is available.
