Newport County is famous for our seafood, especially our lobster rolls. Whether they're served hot and drizzled with butter on a toasted bun or cold and tossed with mayo and a few secret ingredients on a croissant, one thing remains the same: they're always decadently delicious. It's no wonder they've been named among the best by publications like Yankee Magazine, Coastal Living, Food Network and The Daily Meal.

Overwhelmed by where to go? Don't worry, we've got you covered. We boiled it down to our favorite spots below.

ANTHONY'S SEAFOOD

Featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive In's and Dive's, and home to one of the best lobster rolls in New England according to Yankee Magazine, this restaurant and market serves up heaping, nearly half pound lobster rolls chock full of knuckle, claw and tail meat tossed with celery, a hint of mayo and pepper on a perfectly grilled bun. In true lobster-roll-pro fashion, a piece of lettuce placed between the bun and lobster helps prevent sogginess in this crafted-to-perfection beauty. Served with fries, coleslaw and a pickle. Cue stomach grumbling.

BLOUNT CLAM SHACK

Recently named the best cheap eats in RI by Travel & Leisure, Blount Clam Shack's menu may lack dollar signs, but nothing else. Their giant lobster roll is made with 1/2 pound lobster chunks and served anyway you choose -- tossed in housemade dill mayo or served with warm butter. Not up for that challenge? Don't worry, you can opt for their small lobster roll served with 1/4 pound lobster meat.

The Mooring's Lobster croissant (okay, we made an exception) has been on their menu for 15 years, a testament to its delicious decadence. Chilled, lightly dressed lobster meat is served on a warm, buttery, flaky croissant with a hint of tarragon. Your life will never be the same.
