Autumn ushers in another rendition of Newport Restaurant Week with a restaurant roster as full as the harvest season’s bounty. The bi-annual tradition returns this fall with more than 50 restaurants anticipated to take part throughout Newport and Bristol counties. Over the course of the 10-day event, diners can experience tastefully-crafted cuisine with special prix-fixe menus: $16 three-course lunches and $35 three-course dinner offerings.

From November 3 through 12, local chefs and mixologists from more than 50 local restaurants will craft seasonal dishes and libations incorporating hand-selected ingredients bursting with autumnal flavors. Cuisines include everything from seafood and contemporary American to Spanish tapas and west coast Mexican. 

First-time participants this season include the newly opened Stoneacre Brasserie in Washington Square serving meats and produce from local farmers and butchers, along with Stoneacre Tapas, previously Stoneacre Pantry, featuring Spanish tapas and small plates on lower Thames Street, and Johnny's Restaurant at the newly opened Atlantic Resort in Middletown. 

Participating restaurants and their menus are added to DiscoverNewportRestaurantWeek.org within 24 hours of signing up, so be sure to check the website as the event approaches for newly added participating eateries.

ABOUT NEWPORT RESTAURANT WEEK

Newport Restaurant Week was established in 2006 as an annual event to encourage both residents and visitors to Newport and Bristol counties to experience the vast culinary talent in our destination at an affordable price. The event’s mission is to stimulate local business not only at restaurants but at retail and lodging partners as well. In 2008, Newport Restaurant Week expanded to a bi-annual event; one taking place in early spring and the other in late fall.
