Whether you are starting your trek in nearby Bristol, or hopping on the path right from Barrington, you can traverse much of the town via the East Bay Bike Path, which weaves through most of the downtown.

Police Cove Park

Located right over the bridges as you enter into town from Warren, you will find Police Cove Park. This sweet little park boasts incredible river views and is a great place to park and jump on the East Bay Bike Path.

Insider's Tip: In town Memorial Day to Labor Day? Try the splash pad, available seasonally for the kiddos.

After breakfast or lunch in town, across the street you’ll find a picturesque gazebo and pond, you may even spot a duck or two enjoying a swim. Trust us, this is the perfect place get lost in a book while taking in the breezes from the nearby waterways.

Just around the corner is the nearby town playground, a perfect spot for kids to burn off some extra energy pre or post library visit. 

 

Veterans Memorial Park

A true hidden gem here in Barrington.  

Head to Veterans Memorial Park, a nature spot a bit like an enchanted forest. Spanning over 230 acres, this park offers a few miles of hiking trails with water access to Brickyard Pond.

For any cyclists, the East Bay Bike Path also runs through the park.

Walker Farm & Hundred Acre Cove

For the paddling enthusiasts head to Walker Farm for seasonal kayak rentals or to launch your own. You’ll find a small parking area, right off the main road, and a charming dock and kayak launch. 

Head out into Hundred Acre Cove to explore this peaceful patch of water, and keep an eye out for some wildlife.

 

Osamequin Nature Trails and Bird Sanctuary

Stroll through the 42-acre nature conservation area with multiple small loops through meadows and woods. Don’t miss the viewing shed to spot local wildlife and the osprey and their nests when you reach the west shore of Hundred Acre Cove.

Fun Fact: This area is considered one of the 50 most important coastal marshes between Long Island and Cape Cod by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Nearly 700-feet of shoreline hug the ocean making up Barrington Town Beach.

Tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood, this town beach is perfect for catching some rays, taking a stroll or watching the sunset. While there is paid parking for non-residents, during the summer months, it is limited. You can check for updates, here
