Columbus Day weekend on the Classic Coast brings with it all the fall feels as festival season kicks into full gear with seven (yup, seven!) fairs, festivals and major events taking over. Stroll cobblestone byways and enjoy special deals at the annual Columbus Day sidewalk sale on Bowen's Wharf where you'll find great deals on unique items from area shops; or enjoy live music, food, family activities and exhibiting artists at the Broadway Street Fair on Saturday. 

Plus, head on over to East Bay for a weekend of fairs in Bristol, including the State Street Fair and the Wood Street Fair, both with live music, eclectic vendors, kids activities and more.

ROGUE ISLAND COMEDY FESTIVAL

Enjoy 15 stacked shows across five nights, featuring more than 50 stand-up comics from Comedy Central, The Tonight Show, The Late Show, HBO, Netflix, SNL, CONAN and more.

BOWEN'S WHARF COLUMBUS DAY SIDEWALK SALE

2ND ANNUAL BROADWAY STREET FAIR

The Broadway Street Fair begins at Equality Park and extends all along the street offering live music, food, family activities and exhibiting artists. Outdoor stages will feature local musicians, comedy, and dance. More than a dozen restaurants will show off their culinary talents, and local artisans will showcase their creativity, too.

PUMPKIN PALOOZA

Frerichs Farm & Greenhouses is hosting Pumpkin Palooza every weekend through October 21 filled with family fun. Play in the hay, take a magic pumpkin coach ride, make your own scarecrow, paint a pumpkin and more.

SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND GIANT PUMPKIN WEIGH-OFF

Frerichs Farm has been known for its giant pumpkins. In fact, Ron Wallace from Greene, Rhode Island not only won the day in 2015 with his 2,230 lb. pumpkin, but he set a national record and had the second largest pumpkin in the world. Head to the farm for farm activities, live music and food trucks throughout the day and pumpkin weighing at 12:00 PM.

BRISTOL STATE STREET FAIR & ARTS FESTIVAL

Artists, crafters, vendors and music will fill State Street in downtown Bristol between Hope Street and Thames Street.

ANNUAL WOOD STREET FAIR

The Annual Wood Street Fair returns with live music, a vendor market, kids games and crafts including face painting and pumpkin decorating, food, sweet treats and more. New this year, enjoy a Chili Cook-off, a Car & Motorcycle Show, and a Beer & Wine Garden.
