1. NEWPORT INTERNATIONAL POLO SERIES RETURNS

Kick off the 27th season of the Newport International Polo series offering action-packed matches every Saturday through September. Watch as all-star lineups of international competitors take the field. Experience a tailgate party for the optimal experience, or plant your seat in the lawn and relax. 2. ANNUAL GREAT CHOWDER COOK OFF

The Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off returns with a bounty of samples of both traditional and reinvented clam chowder creations as international and regional competitors compete to craft the best chowder while you sample to find your favorite.

3. WORLD OCEAN'S DAY

Join Clean Ocean Access at the second annual World Oceans Day event. The celebration will take place at Easton’s Beach Rotunda with live music, a catered dinner and more. Prior to the event, there will be a clean up at Easton’s Beach.

4. NEWPORT GULLS OPENING DAY

Admission: $5 adults; $2 children 13-17, military ID and seniors; $1 children 12 and under
Details: The Newport Gulls are a wooden-bat, summer collegiate baseball team based in Newport, Rhode Island. The Newport Gulls Baseball Club is a member of both the New England Collegiate Baseball League and the NECBL's East Division.

5. 164TH ANNUAL REGATTA

North America's oldest annual regatta will feature three great days of racing including the separately scored Around-the-Island Race on Friday, June 8, two awards parties and one fabulous regatta dinner on Saturday night.

6. BRITISH MOTORCAR FESTIVAL

8. NEWPORT BERMUDA RACE

When: Friday, June 15
Where: Throughout Newport 
Admission: Free

The Race is a 635 nautical-mile ocean race first sailed in 1906 and held biennially in even-numbered years. The race usually takes three to six days as it crosses a stretch of the Atlantic Ocean known for challenging weather; especially in the Gulf Stream, where there are strong currents. The start is off Castle Hill Light.

9. NEWPORT SECRET GARDEN TOUR

The annual Newport Secret Garden Tour opens the gate to a number of private gardens. Primarily designed and maintained by their owners, each gardens is a labor of love shared with the community to help raise funds for the arts education programs at Aquidneck Island’s public schools.

10. SVF ANNUAL VISITORS DAY

Details:  One day each year, the Swiss Village Farm opens its gates and welcomes visitors to their expansive 35-acre property, which houses rare and endangered breeds of food and fiber livestock. Visitors for the day have the opportunity to learn more about the foundation's efforts to preserve endangered breeds and rare livestock while enjoying myriad activities, including self-guided tours through the historic village; visit with Chip, a rare Tennessee myotonic goat born from a frozen embryo; and meet the SVF laboratory, veterinary, and animal care staff.

11. BRISTOL OYSTER FESTIVAL

Details: The festival, hosted by Dewolf Tavern, celebrates Rhode Island's rich history of fishing, harvesting and cultivating oysters with 6+ varieties of local oysters, music, food trucks, silent auction, a shucking demonstration and family fun activities including face painting and more. Proceeds benefits the March of Dimes.

12. NEWPORT FLOWER SHOW

The 2018 Newport Flower Show will celebrate its 23rd year with a variety of special events, including appearances on Friday and Saturday by lifestyle maven Martha Stewart, expert guest speakers, beautiful floral designs, impressive horticulture exhibits, stunning garden displays, unique shopping opportunities, and more. The Show opens on Friday, June 22 and runs through Sunday, June 24, 2018.
