November 6 - 15: Newport Restaurant Week

Newport Restaurant Week returns this fall with participating restaurants from Newport and Bristol Countys nine coastal towns. The event offers three-course dining deals for lunch ($16) and dinner ($35) that cater to the culinary desires of both frequent restaurant goers and first-time diners alike. November 6: Life is Good Tour Stop in Newport

The optimistic lifestyle brand, Life is Good is hitting the road on its first-ever Life is Good Tour. Led by brothers and founders Bert and John Jacobs, the tour will visit communities across the US to help people discover, embrace, and spread optimism. The Life is Good Tour will be coming to the Newport, RI store for a Meet & Greet with Co-founder Bert Jacobs. November 7: Unique Boutique Craft Fair

Handmade, one-of-a-kind items from local crafters, home decor, clothing, personal and decorative items for both children and adults. Admission and parking are free.

November 7: 8th Annual Race for Open Space 5k Run/Walk

The Race for Open Space is a 5k cross-country style loop course along a nature trail and paved road, boardwalks and bridges. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome to join walkers. All proceeds benefit the Aquidneck Land Trust. Entry fee: $20. 10:30am.

November 7: St. Joseph's Church Harvest Fair

The annual Harvest Fair at St. Joseph's Church features food, family fun activities, baked goods, craft tables, a silent auction and more. 9:30am-3pm.

November 7: Aquidneck Growers Winter Market

The winter version of Aquidneck Grower's Market features approximately 25 vendors offering fresh, locally grown foods, flowers, baked goods, produce and plants. 10am-2pm, Newport Vineyards.

November 13: Holidays by the Sea

Kick off your holiday shopping with in-store promotions, restaurant specials, Newport Skating Center, music and festivities.

November 21: 45th Annual Christmas at the Newport Mansions

The glitter of gold and the sparkle of silver will dazzle you as you tour three magnificent mansions decked out in Yuletide finery. Music, tours and spectacular decorations highlight the celebration of Christmas at the Newport Mansions. The Preservation Society of Newport County invites you to make holiday memories with your family by visiting The Breakers, The Elms and Marble House this holiday season - November 21, 2015 to January 3, 2016. November 21: The Polar Express Train Ride

Experience the magic as the classic children's book by Chris Van Allsburg comes alive while the all-First Class train journeys to the North Pole. Don't forget to wear your pajamas! Elves, chefs, and the Hobo will visit the cars, reading from the book, visiting with the children, and handing out hot chocolate and cookies. Be sure to have your tickets handy because the iconic Conductor will be visiting each table to punch each child's ticket and make sure they truly "believe". Friday - Saturday through December 20.

November 22: Meet Your Maker Holiday Market

Join Hope & Main in Warren for a unique market full of creatively crafted food-themed holiday and hostess gifts, browse gift baskets and enjoy a holiday cooking demo at RI's first culinary incubator. Munch on samples from dozens of bread, cheese and meat vendors while listening to live music in a joyful holiday-themed environment. 1pm-4pm.

November 27: The Newport Nutcracker at Rosecliff

Join Island Moving Company this holiday season for a one-of-a-kind performance of The Newport Nutcracker at Rosecliff. Set within the romantic rooms of Rosecliff mansion, you don't want to miss this ballet. Through December 4.

November 27 - 30: Christmas at Linden Place Mansion

Feel like a personal guest of the Colt family as you stroll through the festively decorated mansion rooms complete with beautiful wreaths, illuminated mantles and evergreen swags. From the festooned four-story spiral staircase to the breathtaking ceiling-high Christmas tree in the Gothic conservatory to the charm of the early 20th century butlers pantry, surprises await visitors around every corner. Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm and Sunday, 12pm-5pm.

November 27: Newport Harbor Illuminated Boat Parade

The Newport Illuminated Boat Parade kicks off the holiday season as festively adorned and illuminated boats circle the harbor in a competition for best decorated in various categories. The parade begins at 6:15pm and can be viewed from various spots around the harbor.
