With 11 acres and 11 greenhouses, this family run farm has all the charm, not to mention a plethora of seasonal florals, the sweetest peacock farm mascots, the fall time favorite of the Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Growers Weigh Off, and one heck of a holiday bazaar. 

Insider's Tip: Visit Frerichs Farm, September - December when their shoppe turns into a literal winter wonderland, full of pure holiday magic from ceiling to floor, that would make even Mrs. Claus proud.

Tucked away in the hidden and stunning farm-coast area of Warren is Long Lane Farm. A USDA certified organic, no-till, regenerative farm run by Camille and Devin, a married duo turned farming team.

Stop by their honor-system Farm Stand, open April - December, for some of the freshest veggies like organic kale, carrots, beets, greens, garlic and all the from the earth goodness. 

 

Touisset Marsh Wildlife Refuge

Situated in a 66-acre wildlife refuge, Touisset Marsh Wildlife Refuge is a 1.2 mile path that will have you feeling a world away, while still being in Warren. With views along the Kickemuit River, some woodlands and salt marsh, the loop is fairly flat and easy for novice hikers.

Insider's Tip: In addition to hiking and bird watching, it is an ideal destination in the winter months for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Grown locally down the street at Long Lane Orchard in the Touisset area of Warren, Morris tends to the orchard himself, considering the operation a farm first.

Hope & Main provides industry-specific resources, shared-use commercial kitchens and one of the most supportive culinary communities, to local entrepreneurs jump-starting early-stage food companies. Hundreds of some of the most creative and delicious culinary products, restaurants and beverages have been born from Hope & Main, including Warren’s own Tizzy K’s Cereal Ice Cream to name just one.

Insider's Tip: If visiting during June - September, be sure to plan for their Makers Market each Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, where you can sample the goods and meet the makers while enjoying live music and more.
