A Mano Pizza + Gelato

Back to Top of List

Meet Newport's brick-oven pizza and handmade gelato food truck: A Mano Pizza + Gelato. In English, the Italian phrase "A mano" means "by hand," which is exactly how owner and chef Simone Ferrara controls the dough, arguably the most important piece of the pie and made of four simple ingredients, for an end result that is crisp, airy and pillowy.

Catch a glimpse of your Neapolitan pizza cooking through the truck's custom-made glass windows inside a brick-oven that was handcrafted and imported from Naples, Italy (the birthplace of Margherita pizza). The oven operates 100% by wood fire, using oak to help with the smokiness of the crust.

Among the menu options are five choices of pizza, including classic choices like Margherita, pepperoni, and sweet Italian sausage, two calzone options, and a sandwich offering.
