For our friends who cannot wait for Fall, head over to Windmist Farm, a family-run farm in Jamestown for the opening weekend of Hard Pressed Cider Co., a seasonal cider truck located on site. 

Expect a quaint farm where cows and horses roam free and chickens patrol the line for fresh Apple Cider made hot, cold or in a slushie with one ingredient: apples, alongside Cider Doughnuts made onsite and served warm.

Join in to commemorate the 247th anniversary of the Battle of Rhode Island at Butts Hill Fort in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Historian Jim Garman will share details of the fort's important and fascinating history. Butts Hill Fort was a key location in the Battle of Rhode Island, the largest military engagement in the state during the Revolutionary War. Historical re-enactors will make the fort's history come alive.
