An Epic Labor Day Weekend in Newport

Summer brought us what will undoubtedly remain some our favorite memories of the year. We dined on rooftops and seaside patios, we relished in outdoor concerts all around town, devoured our fair share of lobster rolls, watched movies under the stars and lounged at Newport's best beaches.

Labor Day Weekend at Newport Vineyards

Where:: Newport Vineyards, 909 East Main Road, Middletown
When:: Friday - Monday

Soak in the last sips of summer by the vines at Newport Vineyards. Think: Sangria slushes, rosé popsicles, Taproot beer, and of course—estate grown wine. Enjoy holiday weekend classics on the Tank Patio, items available a la carte from the food and beverage stations, or dine in the Overlook dining room (Friday - Sunday), and choose from the regular full dining menu.

IYRS Newport Classic Yacht Regatta

Where:: Along the waterfront
When:: Saturday, August 31 - Sunday, September 1

Spot from the water a celebration of classic yachting in Newport Harbor during the 45th Annual Newport Classic Yacht Regatta. With two days of racing, a classic yacht parade on Sunday, and party to end it all, a classic weekend of sailing and yachting tradition.

Around The Island Race

Where:: Around Conanicut Island
When:: Sunday, September 1st

Since 1927, The Conanicut Yacht Club has held the Around The Island Race, a 20 mile course around Jamestown with almost 100 boats racing. Hard Pressed Cider Co. Opening Weekend

Where:: WINDMIST FARM, JAMESTOWN
When:: FRIDAY - SUNDAY, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (HOLIDAY MONDAYS UNTIL 2:00 PM)

For our friends who cannot wait for Fall, head over to Windmist Farm, a family-run farm in Jamestown for the opening weekend of Hard Pressed Cider Co., a seasonal cider truck located on site. Expect a quaint farm where cows and horses roam free and chickens patrol the line for fresh Apple Cider made hot, cold or in a slushie with one ingredient: apples, alongside Cider Doughnuts made onsite and served warm.
